Melissa S. Wherry is an artist based in New Jersey. She holds a BFA in Studio Art and a BA in Psychology from Syracuse University. Melissa is known for expressive mixed media and whimsical work. She was the lead illustrator for the award winning documentary film Family Rewritten and was also the Magazine Editor-in-Chief MESH Magazine. She has worked in art education for the past decade as a teacher and curriculum developer. Melissa is most notably recognized for her online art tutorials which are enjoyed by millions internationally. She is the creator of the Mindle movement her current project and hopes to continue to use her work to inspire creativity in others.
Her grandfather, I. Jack Gural, to whom this book is dedicated, was a talented watercolor artist that influenced her decision to pursue a creative path.
